You are making your examination booking with the understanding that Manchester Examination Centre is the examination brand name of Optimal Tutors Limited,  1, Bann Street, Stockport, SK3 0EX, a United Kingdom educational  establishment incorporated with company number 0842371.


1. Registration

  1. Private candidates booking online will only be enrolled once payment has been confirmed by the centre. Payment must be made by the closing date listed on the website. Late entries would  be accepted by our booking system at the new booking rates. The final deadline is also shown on the booking system.
  2. The closing dates for all exams during the year can be found on the website. All closing dates are subject to the decision of the examining boards. The Manchester Examination Centre does not have any control over this.
  3. Examination fees may be  subject to change where necessary by the examining boards.
  4. If a candidate has a physical disability or need special arrangement,  they must inform the centre at the appropriate point on the online booking form. In the situation where this is not done, the centre cannot be held responsible for not being able to provide such special arrangement on the examination day. Fees might also be incurred if such arrangements are made.

2. Timetable and Exam Information

  1. The Manchester Examination Centre would send all candidates  Confirmation Of Entry by email which will list the exam dates and times. It is important that all documents are carefully read before the day of the exam. We would not be held responsible if candidates misinterpret dates and times and miss the examinations.

3. Exam Day Identification

  1. We verify identity of each candidate on the examination day before they are allowed to sit for the examinations. 
  2. The full names on the photo identity card must match those on the statement of exam entry forms and the address indicated during the online enrolment.
  3. We only accept driver's license, passport and national identity cards.

4. Day of the Exam

  1. Candidates must arrive at the venue no later than the time indicated on the Confirmation of Entry. If they are late for more than 10 minutes, they will not be admitted into the exam venue. 
  2. It is the candidates responsibility to visit or look up the exam venue and plan how they will travel so as to avoid any delays.
  3. Candidates must bring to each exam all documents sent by the centre along with an approved form of identification such as a passport. Failure to do so may result in the candidate not being allowed to take the exam.
  4. Candidates may bring a bottle of water to the exams but it must be in a clear bottle and the label removed.

5. Results & Certificates

  1. Results Statements are sent out by email in PDF format on the day of release. Due to  the volume that might need to be sent out to candidates, we are unable to specify the time of the day that candidates would able to receive it.

6. Exam fee refunds

  1. When a candidate registers online and pays the examination fee they will be enrolled for the examination. After the closing date for examination entry for the particular examination series that the candidate is enrolled for, examination fees would be non refundable and non transferrable.
  2. If a candidate wishes to cancel their registration before the entry  closing date, there would be a refund of their examination fee minus 30% administration fees.
  3. If a candidate is late for an exam or travels to the wrong exam venue they will not be given a refund.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons: Internal record keeping, Periodic sending of  promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests
